...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 815 AM EDT THIS
MORNING FOR SOUTHERN LACKAWANNA, NORTHEASTERN LUZERNE AND
SOUTHWESTERN WAYNE COUNTIES...

At 751 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 3 inches of rain have
fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
         drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Scranton, Wilkes-Barre, Pittston, Dunmore, Old Forge, Moosic,
  Olyphant, Edwardsville, Luzerne, Harveys Lake, West Wyoming,
  Moscow, Sterling, Sugar Notch, Elmhurst, Lehigh, Glendale, Mount
  Cobb, Gouldsboro and Tresslarville.

Please be aware of flooded roads and any debris on roads that may be
difficult to see.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
