...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN LA CROSSE...EASTERN
VERNON AND SOUTHWESTERN MONROE COUNTIES THROUGH 245 AM CDT...

At 211 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Cashton, or 11 miles south of Sparta, moving southeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

This strong thunderstorm will be near...
  Cashton around 215 AM CDT.
  La Farge around 235 AM CDT.

Other locations impacted by this storm include Rockton, Oil City,
Wildcat Mountain State Park, County Roads G And H, Jersey Valley
County Park, Bartons Corners, St Marys, Portland, Spring Ridge, and
Liberty.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

Persons in campgrounds should consider seeking sturdy shelter until
this storm passes.
