...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT CRAWFORD...NORTHEASTERN KALKASKA
AND WESTERN OSCODA COUNTIES THROUGH 1230 AM EDT...

At 1149 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Frederic, or 9 miles north of Grayling, moving east at 55 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail. Rain may mix
         with sleet at times during the heaviest precipitaiton.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Lovells, Frederic, Blue Lake Township, Luzerne, Grayling, Mio, Red
Oak, Garland, Mack Lake, and Hartwick Pines State Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
