National Weather Service Gaylord MI
340 PM EDT Thu Mar 27 2025

...Mixed precipitation, gusty winds across northern Michigan through
the weekend...

.DISCUSSION...

Cloud cover will increase through the night ahead of our next
precipitation chances arriving early Friday morning. Northwest
winds 10-15 knots with gusts to around 25 knots will continue into
the early evening hours before becoming light and variable
tonight. Winds will increase in response to tightening pressure
gradients Friday and remain gusty through the weekend, with gusts
around 20-25 knots. Temperatures Friday across the eastern U.P.
are expected to be in the 30s, northeast Lower in the 40s, and
northwest Lower in the 50s. Daytime RH values will rebound into
the 60s/70s through the weekend as a decent swath of moisture is
pushed into the region. Precipitation looks to start early Friday
and continue into Saturday with a brief lull in activity Saturday
afternoon before another round of precipitation moves through
later Saturday afternoon into Sunday.
