730 FNUS53 KAPX 140636 FWFAPX Fire Weather Planning Forecast for northern Lower Michigan National Weather Service Gaylord MI 236 AM EDT Tue Oct 14 2025 ...Dry Today; Light Shower Chances for Some Tonight... .DISCUSSION...Following some morning clouds and perhaps some mist across northeast lower, anticipating things to turn drier with a NNW to N breeze... perhaps some gusts reaching 20 to 25mph in the afternoon, strongest in northeast lower and the shores of NW lower south of Grand Traverse Bay. Highs in the 50s and 60s across the board, with peeks of sun eventually infiltrated by higher clouds, especially later in the day. RHs will dip into the upper 30s and lower 40s across the interior (including Huron National Forest). As such, fire growth potential will again be rather low, but non- zero due to recent dry weather and the browning of vegetation this time of year. Looking ahead, there will be the potential for some lighter showers south of M-32 this evening into tonight, but rainfall is anticipated to generally be 0.10" or less. An appreciable rain chance does build later in the week as a larger system moves into the Great Lakes, with rain chances potentially hanging around through the weekend, though there is much uncertainty with where the heaviest rain with this system lands.
