.DISCUSSION...

Scattered thunderstorms will continue through the evening before
diminishing overnight with a primary focus across eastern Upper
and northeast Lower. Heavy rain has been associated with these
thunderstorms with reports of 1.5" or more across some areas.
Additional heavy rain can be expected with any stronger
thunderstorms that develop along with possible gusty, and erratic
winds, and small hail. Outside of thunderstorms, winds will be
light from the southwest and west, eventually shifting to the
northwest late.

Clearing skies, rain-free weather, and breezy northwest winds are
forecasted Tuesday with mixing heights increasing generally to
4.0 to 6.0 kft from the late morning through the afternoon hours
away from the immediate coasts; expect occasional 20 ft gusts 15
to 20 mph. Drier conditions are expected by mid-week, with a drop
in RH values and breezy condtions Tuesday; 30s possible across the
interior.
