...Rain Showers Today...

.DISCUSSION...Incoming low pressure system will drum up shower
coverage that will increase in coverage from northwest to
southeast through the day. Showers will first be most prevalent
across northwest lower in the morning, eventually spreading into
northeast lower later this afternoon into this evening. As such,
RHs will remain quite elevated across northwest lower, while
dipping into the 40s across northeast lower late this morning into
early this afternoon before rising quickly due to showers
intruding. Rain amounts will be relatively light, but nonetheless,
will provide a boost of moisture to the surface. Highs today
generally in the upper 50s to mid 60s. Winds will be a bit on the
gusty side at times, with potential for some 35mph gusts at times
this afternoon. That being said, the presence of rainfall will
hinder fire growth conditions for most, but suppose greatest fire
growth risk today will favor northeast lower due to later rainfall
onset. Looking ahead, temperatures remain steady in the upper 50s
to mid 60s on Saturday with diminishing shower coverage and
lighter winds. Much drier weather on deck for Sunday with highs
jumping into the mid-to-upper 60s.
