520 FNUS53 KAPX 301924 FWFAPX Fire Weather Planning Forecast for northern Lower Michigan National Weather Service Gaylord MI 324 PM EDT Sun Jun 30 2024 ... Dry Again Monday; Rain Chances SLowly Return Tuesday... .DISCUSSION... Influences of high pressure will continue to keep northern lower Michigan on the dry side for Monday. Weak winds will accompany the area, generally holding anywhere between 5-10mph. Expecting daytime high temperatures in the 70s across the board. Could be a good day for lake breezes, so a generally light and variable wind across the region could shift from the lake and briefly pick up. RHs will remain low, but not at Red Flag criteria, generally reaching a minimum of 30-40. Overall, still looking at no high fire danger across the region. Looking ahead, rain chances will slowly infiltrate through the day Tuesday, initially with showers across northwest lower and up to the Straits, while areas near Saginaw Bay and Huron National Forest hold far more dry than not. Better chances for rain and thunder build Tuesday night. Temperatures expected to be in the upper 60s to mid 70s during the day Tuesday, with RHs slowly creeping up ahead of the approaching system.
