Light snow was causing slick spots on area roadways in the
Amarillo and Canyon areas this evening. Light snow was initially
melting on roadways, but since the sun has gone done, temperatures
continue to fall and cause the wet surfaces to become icy. Light
snow is expected to continue through the late evening.

Be alert for patches of ice on area roadways. Leave plenty of
space between you and the car in front of you. Allow extra time to
make it to your destination.
