...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTH CENTRAL COLUMBIA...
SOUTHERN ALBANY...NORTHEASTERN GREENE AND SOUTHWESTERN RENSSELAER
COUNTIES THROUGH 845 AM EDT...

At 810 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Westerlo, or 16 miles northeast of Hunter, moving east at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Chatham, New Baltimore, Ravena, Coxsackie, Valatie, Kinderhook,
Coeymans, Ghent, Stockport, Stuyvesant, Coeymans Hollow,
Dormansville, Rossman, Rayville, Result, Earlton, Otter Hook, Riders
Mills, Sunside, and Climax.

This includes Interstate 87 near exit 21B.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
