Ice accumulations around three quarters of an inch. Blizzard conditions with wind gusts 35 to 45 mph reducing visibilities to 1/4 mile or less for Nunivak Island and Nelson Island. Total snow accumulations 6 to 12 inches. * WHERE...Kuskokwim Delta, Kuskokwim Valley, including Bethel, Aniak, and Crooked Creek for the Ice Storm. Nunivak and Nelson Islands for Blizzard conditions. * WHEN...From 3 AM Tuesday to 9 AM AKST Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Surfaces will likely become slick and hazardous. Significant ice accumulation may cause power outages. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...There will be a sharp line to the north and west of Bethel where the precipitation will remain all snow. North and west of this line is where the Blizzard conditions are expected. South and east of this line is where the freezing rain and Ice Storm conditions will be. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... An Ice Storm Warning means significant amounts of ice accumulation will make travel extremely hazardous. Travel is strongly discouraged. If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency. Snapped power lines and falling tree branches are also possible.
