...COASTAL FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM LATE SATURDAY NIGHT THROUGH
SUNDAY EVENING...

* WHAT...Water levels as high as 2 to 4 feet above the normal
  highest tide line.

* WHERE...Along the Kuskokwim Delta Coast and Nunivak Island.

* WHEN...Late Saturday night through Sunday evening, coinciding
  with high tides Sunday morning and again Sunday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Coastal flooding of low lying areas and erosion are
  possible.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The remnants of Typhoon Halong will bring
  increasing southerly to southwesterly winds beginning Saturday
  night and persisting through Sunday night, with gusts to 75 mph
  possible. Persistent southerly to southwesterly winds may lead
  to storm surge and flooding. The highest water levels are
  expected to occur with the first high tide cycle early Sunday
  morning. Water levels are expected to decrease following the
  first high tide cycle but remain elevated through the second
  high tide cycle Sunday afternoon. Wave heights within the
  coastal waters of the Kuskokwim Delta will build to 5 to 10 feet
  by Sunday morning and slowly subside through Sunday evening.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A coastal flood watch means that conditions favorable for
flooding are expected to develop. Coastal residents should be
alert for later statements or warnings, and take action to
protect property.
