...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN CAMDEN...
SOUTHEASTERN PASQUOTANK AND SOUTHEASTERN CURRITUCK COUNTIES THROUGH
245 PM EDT...

At 228 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7
miles south of Old Trap, or 9 miles southeast of Weeksville, moving
northeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph, heavy rain, and frequent
         lightning.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Reduced visibility and minor flooding
         possible. Frequent cloud to ground lightning strikes.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of southeastern
Camden, southeastern Pasquotank and southeastern Currituck Counties,
including the following locations... Glen Cove and Frog Island.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Heavy rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
