...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT CENTRAL CHESTERFIELD...
NORTHWESTERN PRINCE GEORGE AND SOUTHEASTERN HENRICO COUNTIES...THE
CITY OF COLONIAL HEIGHTS AND THE CITY OF HOPEWELL THROUGH 545 PM
EDT...

At 458 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Chesterfield Court House, or 8 miles west of Chester, moving east at
25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Petersburg, Hopewell, Colonial Heights, Chester, Fort Gregg-Adams,
Bellwood, Chesterfield Court House, Bensley, Ettrick, Chesterfield,
Birchett Estate, Jordan Point Country Club, Pocahontas State Park,
Beach, Meadowville, Drewrys Bluff, and Centralia.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
