...THE GROWING SEASON HAS ENDED FOR PORTIONS OF CENTRAL
AND SOUTH CENTRAL VIRGINIA...

A freeze has occurred this morning across portions of central and
south-central Virginia. This includes Goochland, Cumberland, Prince
Edward, Lunenburg, Mecklenburg, Hanover, Powhatan, Amelia, Nottoway,
Brunswick, Greensville, Henrico, Chesterfield, Dinwiddie,
Westmoreland, Richmond, Essex, King and Queen, King William, New
Kent, Charles City, Prince George, and Sussex Counties. In addition,
this includes the Independent Cities of Richmond, Hopewell,
Colonial Heights, Petersburg, and Emporia. Thus, the National
Weather Service in Wakefield has discontinued Frost Advisories and
Freeze Watches/Warnings until the spring season of 2025 for all
of these zones.

The growing season remains active for the remainder of the
counties/independent cities in eastern Virginia and northeast
North Carolina.
