...The National Weather Service in Wakefield VA has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Virginia...

  James River At Richmond Westham affecting City of Richmond,
  Henrico and Chesterfield Counties.

For the Lower James Basin...including Cartersville, Richmond
Westham, Richmond Locks...Minor flooding is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT TO MONDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...James River at Richmond Westham.

* WHEN...From late tonight to Monday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 12.0 feet, Flood stage. Minor flooding along both
  banks. No damage at this level.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 3:30 PM EDT Saturday the stage was 9.5 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 11.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    just after midnight tonight to a crest of 12.4 feet early
    tomorrow afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage early
    Monday morning.
  - Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    12.4 feet on 03/05/1997.
