...BEACH HAZARDS STATEMENT REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH THIS
EVENING...

* WHAT...Dangerous rip currents and large breaking waves of 4 to
  5 feet in the surf zone.

* WHERE...In North Carolina, Eastern Currituck County. In
  Virginia, Virginia Beach.

* WHEN...Through this evening.

* IMPACTS...Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away
  from shore into deeper water. Strong longshore currents will
  create dangerous swimming conditions. Large breaking waves can
  cause neck and spinal injuries.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain out of the water to avoid hazardous swimming conditions.
