...ACTIVE WET WEATHER CONTINUING FOR THE PANHANDLE THROUGH LATE THIS
WEEK...

ANOTHER STRONG WET FRONT IS MOVING THROUGH THE PANHANDLE THURSDAY.
FREEZING LEVELS ARE HIGH (3000 TO 4500 FT) AND SOIL AND RIVER
CONDITIONS ARE ALREADY PRIMED FROM THE LAST FRONT EARLIER THIS
WEEK. THE CURRENT FRONT HAS BROUGHT AROUND 0.5 TO 1.5 INCHES OF
RAINFALL AS OF 9 AM THURSDAY. ANOTHER 0.5 TO 1.5 INCHES OF
RAINFALL IS EXPECTED THROUGH LATE THURSDAY NIGHT WITH THE HIGHEST
RAIN AMOUNTS EXPECTED IN THE NORTHERN HALF OF THE PANHANDLE. AREA
RIVER AND STREAMS ARE STARTING TO SHOW RISES BUT MOST ARE STILL
BELOW BANKFULL CONDITIONS. THIS RAINFALL COMBINED WITH ANY
SNOWMELT MAY CAUSE AREA WATERWAYS TO RISE INTO OR NEAR BANKFULL
CONDITIONS DUE TO ALREADY SATURATED SOILS FROM THE LAST STORM.
LOCALIZED FLOODING DUE TO DRAINAGE ISSUES ARE ALSO POSSIBLE INTO
THURSDAY NIGHT.
