027 WGAK87 PAJK 041526 FLSAJK Flood Advisory National Weather Service Juneau AK 626 AM AKST Wed Dec 4 2024 AKZ325-041800- /O.CON.PAJK.FA.Y.0020.000000T0000Z-241204T1800Z/ /00000.N.RS.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.OO/ City and Borough of Juneau AK- 626 AM AKST Wed Dec 4 2024 ...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM AKST THIS MORNING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by rain and snowmelt continues. * WHERE...Montana Creek Near Areas Around The Low Water Crossing On Montana Creek Road And Near Back Loop Road At The Montana Creek Bridge. * WHEN...Until 900 AM AKST. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 617 AM AKST, water level are falling with the end of the precipitation, and stage has lowered below minor flood levels. However another front will be moving into the northern panhandle this afternoon and evening, which will raise water levels again. Between 2.5 and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.1 to 0.5 inch are possible. - For Montana Creek at Back Loop Bridge: At 6:00am the stage was 14.0 feet. Crest was 15.5 feet at 930 pm Dec 2 Flood Stage is 14.5 feet. Impacts: At 14.5 feet: Water begins flowing over the low water crossing on Montana Creek Road. Bankfull conditions at the gauge with water starting to inundate adjacent undeveloped fields along Mendenhall Loop Road. At 15.5 feet: Up to one half foot of water will flow over the low water crossing on Montana Creek Road after the community gardens. Water will approach and begin to inundate yards of residences along the Northwest side of Mendenhall Loop Road. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
