...Accumulating Snow Expected Through Thursday and Again Over The
Weekend...

A trough lifting northward across the Interior will continue to
bring light snowfall to portions of the north-central Interior and
southern Brooks Range today into Thursday. 1 to 3 inches of snow
is expected along the Dalton Highway and in the higher terrain,
with the highest accumulations expected in Bettles and Coldfoot.

Another low pressure system will follow for Friday and into the
weekend tracking north through the Brooks range towards the
eastern North Slope. Gusty northeast winds will develop Friday
and Saturday over higher terrain with snow developing Saturday
afternoon into Sunday. Several inches of snow will be possible
with this second system. A rain/snow mix is possible around the
Fairbanks area Saturday evening into Sunday.
