...RED FLAG WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 4 PM FRIDAY TO 1 AM

...RED FLAG WARNING IS CANCELLED...

The National Weather Service in Fairbanks has cancelled the Red
Flag Warning.

* AFFECTED AREA...White Mountains and High Terrain South of the
  Yukon River, Upper Chena River Valley and Chatanika River
  Valley.

* TIMING...From 4 PM Friday to 1 AM AKDT Saturday.

* WINDS...Northeast 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.

* HUMIDITY...As low as 23 percent. Poor relative humidity recovery expected
  Friday night.

* TEMPERATURES...Highs in the mid to upper 80s. Lows in the mid 50s, except in
  the low 60s over ridgetops.

* IMPACTS...Rapid ignition, growth and spread of fires will be
  possible. Hot, dry, and windy conditions may lead to rapid
  spread of fires.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Northeast winds will increase Friday
  evening and continue through the night into Saturday morning.
  Poor relative humidity recovery above the valley floors
  expected Friday night. Saturday will be the hottest day of
  this stretch of fire weather concerns with highs near 90.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that conditions are occurring or will
occur which could lead to the development of large and dangerous
fires. It is directed toward fire agencies, and through them, to
the public.

Please advise the appropriate officials or fire crews in the
field of this Red Flag Warning.

  Junction, Tanana Flats, Eielson AFB and Salcha, Goldstream
  Valley and Nenana Hills, Two Rivers, Fairbanks Metro Area,
  Nenana, Northern Denali Borough and Eastern Delta Junction.

* TIMING...From 9 AM to 10 PM AKDT Friday.

* WINDS...Northeast 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph. The strongest winds
  will be from 7 to 10 PM Friday evening, with breezy winds continuing through
  the night.

* HUMIDITY...As low as 24 percent. Poor relative humidity recovery expected
  Friday night.

* TEMPERATURES...Highs in the mid to upper 80s.

* IMPACTS...Rapid ignition, growth and spread of fires will be
  possible. Hot, dry, and windy conditions may lead to rapid
  spread of fires.
