...RED FLAG WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM AKDT THURSDAY...

* AFFECTED AREA...Upper Koyukuk Valley, Dalton Highway Summits,
  Yukon Flats, White Mountains and High Terrain South of the
  Yukon River, Fortymile Country, Upper Chena River Valley,
  Tanana Flats, Eielson AFB and Salcha, Goldstream Valley and
  Nenana Hills, Chatanika River Valley, Two Rivers, Fairbanks
  Metro Area, Nenana, Central Interior, Northern Denali Borough
  and Eastern Alaska Range North of Trims Camp.

* TIMING...Until 10 PM AKDT Thursday.

* WINDS...East 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. Thunderstorms
  this afternoon will be capable of producing outflow winds of 30 to
  50 mph.

* HUMIDITY...As low as 20 percent.

* TEMPERATURES...Highs in the mid 80s. Lows in the upper 40s.

* IMPACTS...Rapid ignition, growth and spread of fires will be
  possible. Hot, dry, and windy conditions may lead to rapid
  spread of fires.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Breezy winds will extend peak fire
  conditions through Wednesday night into early Thursday morning.
  These winds, along with poor RH recovery, has prompted the
  extension into early Thursday. Concerns shift to the higher
  terrain north and east of Fairbanks, like the White Mountains
  and Fox Hills, Thursday afternoon.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that conditions are occurring or will
occur which could lead to the development of large and dangerous
fires. It is directed toward fire agencies, and through them, to
the public.

Please advise the appropriate officials or fire crews in the
field of this Red Flag Warning.
