Widespread showers will continue across the area this evening, an isolated thunderstorm may be embedded with some of the cells. There is a good chance of wetting rain tonight as well. Storm chances will diminish around 2200 AKDT and shower will be more isolated throughout the night. Similar conditions will continue for the next few days, with the exception of wetting rain. The next best chance for it won`t be until the end of the weekend. SW winds will be diurnally driven each day with sustained speeds up to 8 mph during peak heating. The SW ridgetop winds are expected to increase, only for tomorrow, to around 20 mph. Any thunderstorms that form around the fire may cause gusty and erratic winds. Temperatures will increase slightly tomorrow and Thursday with values in the mid to upper 70s. This won`t be long lived, as the highs will drop back to the upper 60s by Friday. .TONIGHT...
