.DISCUSSION...
Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms are looking to
continue throughout the night, with thunderstorm chances dropping
off around 2300 AKDT. Similar shower and thunderstorm conditions
are in store for Monday as a front moves south over the fire.
However, thunderstorm chances will be lower on Monday compared to
Sunday. With the frontal passage Monday night, the W/SW winds will
become light. Isolated afternoon showers will continue for the
rest of the week with the favorable, upper-level moist flow out of
the west. Temperatures will be around the mid 70s for most of the
period, with a brief warmup on Wednesday to the upper 70s. But
will drop back to the low 70s the next day. Given the multiple
chances for rain, minimum RHs will be around 50 percent, with good
overnight RH recovery.

Cooler temperatures and showery conditions are expected at the
end of the week and into the weekend.
