.DISCUSSION...
Thunderstorm potential will be limited from the Eastern Yukon
Flats today, with the best chances in the afternoon. Today and
Thursday will be the warmest and driest days with temperatures in
the 70s across Interior Valleys. Min RHs will be dropping with
most spots around 35-45%, but the upper Tanana Valley will drop to
25-30%. Thursday will be drier with the southern Yukon Flats and
Upper Tanana Valley RHs as low as 20-25%. Winds increase in Isabel
Pass and Delta Junction on Thursday as well. Peak wind gusts up
to 50 mph expected in Isabel Pass, and up to 40 mph in Delta
Junction, so there will be near Red Flag Conditions. Otherwise, a
pattern change hits on Friday with temperatures dropping into the
60s. There will be much higher rain chances as a trough then dips
into Western Alaska this weekend. Looking into next week, it looks
cooler and wetter overall with little to no significant fire
weather danger.
