.SYNOPSIS FOR THE WESTERN GULF OF ALASKA...

A 986 mb low at 57N 156W moves to 59N 151W at 987 mb by Mon
morning. Its front sweeps across the northern Gulf before
dissipating Mon morning. A second low forms at 59N 146W at 988
mb. The two lows meet and merge at 59N 146W by Tue morning,
becoming a 988 mb low.
