...DENSE FOG ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 AM AKST EARLY THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Visibility one-quarter mile in dense fog.

* WHERE...Lower Matanuska Valley.

* WHEN...Until 5 AM AKST early this morning.

* IMPACTS...Hazardous driving conditions due to low visibility.
  Below freezing temperatures may lead to frost on bridges and
  roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Fog has developed across portions of the
  Matanuska Valley, particularly across the Knik Valley, affecting
  the Glenn Highway at Knik Bridge. Visibility may be near zero at
  times. Fog will gradually dissipate this morning as winds increase.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be reduced
to less than one quarter mile. If driving, slow down, use your
headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.

MORNING...

* WHAT...Visibility one-quarter mile in dense fog.

* WHERE...Anchorage, with the worst conditions in the Anchorage Bowl.

* WHEN...Until 5 AM AKST early this morning.

* IMPACTS...Hazardous driving conditions due to low visibility and
  icy roads. Below freezing temperatures may lead to frost on
  bridges and roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Main roads may be icy as water on surfaces
  refreeze overnight. Side and neighborhood roads remain icy and
  will combine with the fog and low visibilities to make travel
  difficult.
