Spot Forecast for PAQ Hill Burn...Alaska Division of Forestry
National Weather Service Anchorage AK
747 PM AKDT Wed Mar 26 2025

Forecast is based on ignition time of 1000 AKDT on March 27.
.DISCUSSION...

A relatively warm and dry day is expected for Palmer on Thursday
with temperatures expected to climb into the mid/upper 40s
underneath a mostly sunny sky. Relative humidity will be similar
to Wednesday, with values expected to drop to about 42 to 46
percent by the afternoon.

Wind will be the most challenging aspect of this forecast as a
modest northeast wind is expected to develop out of the Matanuska
Valley and push into the valley. Winds may pick up to about 6-8
mph, with higher gusts. There`s an off chance that wind will
remain light/variable through the day with the easterly Matanuska
Wind remaining just to the north of the forecast area.

Cloud cover is expected to increase on Friday, which will bring
slightly cooler temperatures and higher humidity. Winds are also
expected to be a bit weaker than on Thursday.

Please don`t hesitate to call for further forecast updates.
