A shortwave trough moving over the Copper Basin will initially support widespread light rain and dense cloud cover during the morning on Monday, but rain should taper off to widely scattered showers by Monday afternoon as the trough begins to weaken. Winds will generally be around 10 mph or less out of the southwest through Monday night. By Tuesday, an upper level ridge of high pressure will build in from the north, resulting in clearing skies and slightly warmer temperatures and lower minimum RH values during the afternoon. Winds will also turn more southerly as a coastal pressure gradient develops along the northern Gulf Coast. While predominant winds are currently expected to stay no higher than 10 to 15 mph, expect some potential for higher gusts coming off of the glacier during the afternoon on Tuesday. .MONDAY...
