National Weather Service Anchorage AK
423 PM AKST Thu Mar 6 2025

Forecast is based on forecast start time of 1600 AKST on March 06.
.DISCUSSION...

Showery pattern and light winds driven by a rapidly weakening
trough over Southcentral will diminish this evening, allowing for
clearing skies tonight. Chance for snow showers remain possible
until after midnight Friday morning. By Friday morning, a new
front associated with low pressure system in the Gulf of Alaska
will bring a return of lowered ceilings a chance for light snow
showers over the area of operation. Window of highest shower
likelihood and lowest ceilings would be from noon Friday through
late Friday evening. Temperatures to remain fairly consistent
over the next 36 hours with high temperatures near 35 degrees, and
overnight lows reaching down to 20 degrees.
