Radio Weather Synopsis
National Weather Service Aberdeen SD
337 AM CST Wed Jan 8 2025 /237 AM MST Wed Jan 8 2025/

High pressure will slowly shift southeast of the region allowing a
warm front to move west to east across the Dakotas today. A warmer
air mass will push into the region and allow most locations to warm
closer to normal for this time year. However, this will be brief as
a clipper system will quickly shift into the region tonight. This
system could potentially deliver a round of light snow and a wintry
mix including some freezing rain late this evening through the
overnight. As colder air mixes in, more snowfall will round out the
system during the daytime Thursday.

Highs today will range from mid 20s to mid 30s. Lows tonight will
fall into the mid teens to mid 20s. Highs on Thursday will climb into
the low to mid 30s.
