A storm system begins to affect the region Monday afternoon as rain
spreads from southeast to northwest through the evening. Over half an
inch of rain is expected from the James River valley east by Tuesday
morning. Colder air rushes in on Tuesday and Wednesday with northwest
winds gusting 40 to 55 mph. While confidence remains low, there is
increasing potential for accumulating snow Tuesday night through
Wednesday.

Lows tonight will fall into the mid 20s to lower 30s. Highs on Monday
top out in the 50s.
