Radio Weather Synopsis
National Weather Service Aberdeen SD
356 AM CDT Wed Mar 12 2025 /256 AM MDT Wed Mar 12 2025/

Dry conditions expected over the listening area today through
Thursday. The Grassland Fire Danger Index will be very high for much
of the area on Thursday. This is due to winds gusting out of the
south and southwest between 20 to 30 mph, relative humidity dropping
at or below 20% over central South Dakota and 25 to 35 percent over
northeastern South Dakota into west central MN. A Fire Weather Watch
has been issued for counties in south central SD Thursday afternoon
through the evening. A storm system Friday night into Saturday looks
to bring a mix of rain and snow, and possibly freezing rain, to at
least the eastern portions of the forecast area along with windy
conditions.

Highs today will be a bit warmer ranging in the mid to upper 50s to
mid 60s and lows tonight in the 30s. Widespread 70s are expected on
Thursday, with some areas flirting with 80 degrees.
