Hot and humid air will reside across the Dakotas and Minnesota today.
Heat index values could top 100 degrees this afternoon, particularly
across the James valley and west central Minnesota. Highs will range
in the 90s to about 100. Little relief is expected overnight, with
lows in the 70s and high humidity. Friday will be another hot and
humid day, though a front coming through will spark thunderstorm
development, bringing relief to the heat and humidity for the weekend.


And while the weekend will be closer to normal temperature wise, it
will remain unsettled with off and on chances for thunderstorms.
