A warm and dry air mass will surge eastward into the Dakotas on
Monday ahead of an approaching cold front. Much above normal
temperatures and record highs are expected. A strong cold front will
drop south through the region late Monday afternoon into the early
evening hours. This front will bring strong northwest winds possibly
reaching 60 mph across portions of northern South Dakota. Colder
temperatures will follow for Tuesday, but will be short lived as mild
air moves back into the region for Wednesday and Thursday.

Lows tonight will drop into the upper 20s and 30s. Highs on Monday
will range from the mid 60s to low 70s. Highs on Tuesday drop back
down into the 40s before warming back up into the 50s and 60s for
Wednesday and Thursday.
