Other than fog through mid morning in a few locations, a mostly sunny
sky is expected. High temperatures will be mainly in the 80s, except
reach well into the 90s near and west of the Missouri River. High
moisture and high temperatures will result in heat index values
reaching near 100 to 104 degrees this afternoon over portions of
central South Dakota.

Temperatures will drop into the 60s to near 70 degrees by daybreak
Thursday. Expect highs Thursday to be in the mid 80s to near 100
degrees. Heat index values will rise to near 100 degrees once again
Thursday afternoon over portions of central South Dakota.

There is a 40 to 70 percent chance of showers and storms late
Thursday afternoon into Thursday night, associated with a cold front
sweeping across the area.
