809 FNUS63 KABR 111925 RFDABR Rangeland Fire Danger Statement National Weather Service Aberdeen SD 225 PM CDT Sat Oct 11 2025 .DISCUSSION... Strong winds out of the south gusting 30 to 40 mph will only relax slightly overnight, while remaining strong over the higher terrain of eastern South Dakota. An area of low pressure over western North Dakota Sunday morning will wrap up over south central Canada Sunday afternoon and evening. This will bring showers and a few thunderstorms to the area this evening, before slowly ending over eastern South Dakota and west central Minnesota during the day Sunday. Highest totals are expected to be between a quarter and half an inch, mainly east of the James River. A north to south oriented cold front near the Missouri River at 9 AM Sunday will move push to near Aberdeen and Redfield around noon, and into Minnesota between 4 and 5 pm. Behind the front, winds will quickly switch from out of the south to out of the west and remain strong. West winds will gust 40 to 50 mph for locations west of Mobridge Sunday afternoon. Relative humidity values will fall to 40 to 50 percent Sunday.
