.DISCUSSION...

Showers will continue to rotate through the region today. A few
rumbles of thunder can not be ruled out with the strongest showers.
The precipitation will come to an end this evening, leaving dry but
rather cool conditions in place heading into the weekend.
Additionally, strong west to northwesterly wind gusts of 45 to 60
mph are expected today before diminishing overnight tonight. The
next chance for precipitation is lining up across the region Sunday
night into Monday.

...LOW FIRE DANGER...

Favorable weather conditions or a high moisture content of grasses,
and other dry organic material on the ground, indicate that the
probability of a fast moving fire is low.  Outdoor burning under
these conditions can usually be performed with reasonable safety
precautions, but should be monitored.


The outlook for Saturday afternoon...The grassland fire danger index
will reach the low category.
