A cold front will sweep through the region, turning winds from southerly to the northwest this afternoon, along with some gusts in excess of 25 mph possible. Precipitation chances begin to increase late tonight, and persist across the area into Saturday night. A mix of precipitation types, including rain, freezing rain and snow are expected. Minimum relative humidity values this afternoon will range from 25 to 30 percent across south central South Dakota, to 55 to 60 percent across far northeastern South Dakota and west central Minnesota.
