.DISCUSSION...

Windy conditions will continue across much of the area today. A low
pressure system, and its associated frontal boundary, will track
across the area this afternoon and evening. The front will be the
focus for thunderstorm development, with some of the storms likely
becoming strong to severe. Large hail and strong wind gusts will be
the main threats with the stronger storms. Dry conditions will
return overnight and Tuesday. Minimum relative humidity values this
afternoon will be in the 55 to 75 percent range.

...LOW FIRE DANGER...

Favorable weather conditions or a high moisture content of grasses,
and other dry organic material on the ground, indicate that the
probability of a fast moving fire is low. Outdoor burning under
these conditions can usually be performed with reasonable safety
precautions, but should be monitored.

The outlook for Tuesday afternoon...The grassland fire danger index
will reach the low category.
