A Red Flag warning is in effect this afternoon over portions of central and north central South Dakota due to wind gusts of 20 to 35 mph and relative humidity down to 15 to 25 percent. Wednesday will feature another elevated to near critical fire weather day as northwest winds increase to 25 to 35 mph and the relative humidity remains below 25 percent. The highest winds gusts should occur of north central South Dakota. Fires will spread rapidly and show erratic behavior. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
