.DISCUSSION...

Canadian high pressure will make a slow progression through the
region over the next few days with below normal temperatures, low
humidity, and light winds.

Highs for today will range in the 60s to mid 70s with afternoon
humidity between 30 and 60 percent, with the lowest values over
central SD and highest values along and east of the James River.

...LOW FIRE DANGER...

Favorable weather conditions or a high moisture content of grasses,
and other dry organic material on the ground, indicate that the
probability of a fast moving fire is low.  Outdoor burning under
these conditions can usually be performed with reasonable safety
precautions, but should be monitored.


The outlook for Monday afternoon...The grassland fire danger index
will reach the low category.
