            conditions are ongoing and have been
            occurring since 10am. Wind gusts of 35 to 49
            mph and a quarter mile visibility have
            occurred during this period.

            observation (6pm).

            Visibility at the Britton AWOS started at
            0.25 miles at 815 am and remained at/below
            0.25 through 415 pm. Winds picked up notably
            at 1215 pm, with a peak wind gust of 40 mph
            measured by the station at 155 pm, with
            gusts of 30 to 40 mph persisting through 10
            pm. Visibility improved rapidly once
            snowfall intensity diminished despite the
            persistent winds.

            A caller stated Blizzard conditions in
            Cresbard. Additionally, the COOP in Faulkton
            has also reported Blizzard conditions an
            hour later. Start time was a little after 10
            am, with a peak wind gust in Cresbard of 64
            mph at 1255 pm. Snowfall diminished in
            coverage after 130 pm.

            0.25 mile visibility recorded at the Milbank
            Airport AWOS from 1155 am through 915 pm.
            Peak wind gust of 56 mph was measured at 915
            pm. Winds remained between 40 and 50 mph
            through 4 am Wednesday though visibility
            improved as snow moved off.

            Mobridge ASOS recorded visibility dropping
            to 0.25 to 0.5 miles starting at 805 am,
            continuing through 1120 am. A peak wind gust
            of 52 mph was recorded at 926 am. No travel
            was advised by the SDDOT for the surrounding
            area.

            Interstate 29 closed from Watertown to the
            ND/SD state line due to blizzard and
            hazardous road conditions, with multiple
            stalled and jackknifed vehicles and
            slide-ins. The interstate was re-opened 7am
            Wednesday.

            Winds at Watertown ASOS increased to 40 to
            50 mph with snow, resulting in 0.25 to 0.5
            mile visibility beginning at 330 pm and
            continuing through 640 pm. A peak wind gust
            of 55 mph was recorded at 414 pm. Interstate
            29 was closed north of Watertown due to
            hazardous travel conditions as a result of
            wet snow and ice, high winds and low
            visibility.

            officials due to blizzard conditions.
            Multiple vehicles were reported in the ditch
            east of Webster. No travel was lifted at 7am
            Wednesday.

            Traverse county sheriff issued a no travel
            advised at 230 pm which lasted through 6 am
            Wednesday. Wheaton AWOS visibility was
            between 0.25 and 0.5 miles from 1230 through
            530 pm with a peak wind gust of 35 mph at
            433 pm.
