This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for north central South Dakota.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Very High fire danger today both during and prior to a cold front`s
wind shift. Southwest winds potentially gusting to 25 mph, combined
with relative humidity values below 20 percent, will create near
critical fire weather conditions early this afternoon. These
southwesterly winds are expected to quickly switch to the northwest
behind a cold frontal passage this afternoon.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

By early next week, some of the coldest air of the season is
expected to be filtering into the region. Widespread low temperatures
both Sunday night and Monday night could be below freezing. This
would signal the end of the growing season for 2024 over central,
north central and northeast South Dakota and west central Minnesota.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is not expected at this time.
