...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM MST THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 3 and
  7 inches, except 5 to 12 inches above 6000 feet.

* WHERE...Far Northwest Highlands, Chuska Mountains, Northwest
  Plateau, and West Central Plateau.

* WHEN...Until 5 PM MST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Tire traction will be
  reduced. Extend the distance between your vehicle and the vehicle
  in front of you. This includes along portions of I-40. The
  hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday morning and evening
  commutes. Isolated power outages can be expected.

  Jemez Mountains, Northwest Highlands, Southwest Mountains, West
  Central Highlands, and West Central Mountains.

* WHEN...Until 11 AM MST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult, especially along I-40
  between Grants and Gallup. Tire chains may be necessary if
  traveling through mountain passes. The hazardous conditions could
  impact the Thursday morning commute. Isolated power outages can be
  expected.

  amounts between 8 and 16 inches near Taos. Winds gusting as high

* WHERE...Sangre de Cristo Mountains, Tusas Mountains Including
  Chama, Upper Rio Grande Valley, and Johnson and Bartlett Mesas
  Including Raton Pass.

* WHEN...Until 5 PM MST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Travel is discouraged. Many road closures are likely.
  Avoid traveling if possible. Areas of blowing snow could
  significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could
  impact the Thursday morning and evening commutes. Gusty winds

  winds are forecast to push through the gaps and passes of the
  Sandia and Manzano mountains tonight into Friday morning.
