The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Northeastern Colfax County in northeastern New Mexico...

* Until 830 PM MDT.

* At 750 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 5 miles northeast
  of Raton Crews Airport, or 6 miles south of Raton, moving
  southeast at 20 mph.

  HAZARD...Golf ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect
           hail damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles.
           Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Raton and Raton Crews Airport.

This includes the following highways...
Highway 64 between Mile Markers 331 and 344...and
between Mile Markers 353 and 370.
Interstate 25 between Mile Markers 433 and 451.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Anyone outdoors should move to shelter inside a well-built structure
and stay away from windows. This storm is capable of producing
dangerous hail and damaging winds.

Accumulations of small hail on roads can create very slick and
hazardous driving conditions.

Motorists can expect brief but sudden changes in visibility and
ponding of water on roadways as storms move through the area.
