...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHERN TAOS AND NORTHWESTERN
COLFAX COUNTIES UNTIL 3 AM MDT...

At 230 AM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Questa, moving northeast at 55 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.

Locations impacted include...
  Questa, Red River, Taos Ski Valley, Amalia, Arroyo Seco, Arroyo
  Hondo, Taos Pueblo, Cerro, Lama and San Cristobal.

This includes Highway 64 between Mile Markers 233 and 251.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.

Accumulations of small hail on roads can create very slick and
hazardous driving conditions.
