...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT EAST CENTRAL ROOSEVELT COUNTY
UNTIL 6 PM MDT...

At 512 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 6
miles south of Arch, or 17 miles southeast of Portales, moving north
at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.

Locations impacted include...
  Causey, Arch and Rogers.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.

Motorists can expect brief but sudden changes in visibility and
ponding of water on roadways as storms move through the area.
