.DISCUSSION...
After a cold start this morning, scattered showers and thunderstorms
are forecast this afternoon. High resolution models depict
thunderstorms beginning in the area mostly from noon until 3 PM this
afternoon, then exiting to the south and southeast around 5-15 KT. A
few models depict an isolated shower or storm redeveloping overhead
around 5 pm, then exiting to the south. A few of todays stronger
cells will be capable of producing localized, brief, and erratic
wind gusts up to 40 mph. Temperatures will trend gradually upward
tonight through Thursday. Isolated showers and storms are forecast to
return Wednesday afternoon, then scattered showers and storms are
forecast for Thursday.
