There is a high risk of burn scar flash flooding today as numerous to widespread showers and thunderstorms with heavy rainfall move slowly north/northeast across the region. A much drier airmass will slide into the region Friday and Saturday with little to no rainfall. A couple storms may attempt to develop over the Sangre de Cristos by Saturday afternoon but is not expected to produce heavy rain. Much greater coverage of storms returns Sunday through Wednesday with locally heavy rainfall possible. Storm motions will be slow and erratic each afternoon. ................................................................
